How to View Pictures for the Kodak CD

The Kodak Photograph CD, first introduced within 1990, is a CD-Recordable blank disc built for storing portraits. In the mid not to mention late 1990s, their quality and user friendly made them popular through professional photographers, but from the early 2000s, the Photo CD format's fairly inefficient compression scheme recommended that Photo CD files were significantly bigger than JPEG files of matching quality, and thus less convenient for transmission surrounding the Internet. By 2004, Kodak had eliminated the format. Many software applications support loading Photo ALBUM images, but few do it the appropriate way.

Instructions

Download an attempt or full version of one of the many software suites known towards successfully open Kodak Photograph CD files: Cerious Software's ThumbPlus, pcdtojpeg, Corel's PaintShop Shot Pro or PhotoPaint 8, IrfanView, Brothersoft's pcdMagic 1. 0. 4, and also Digital Light & Color's Graphic Window.

Insert a Kodak Photo CD into your personal machine.

Find the image files to the Photo CD. These records, with names ending within ". PCD, " are often in the \PHOTO_CD\IMAGES directory for the Photo CD.

Try filling the ". PCD" files with other imaging software you may have on your computer. If that will not work, proceed to Step.

Right-click at the PCD file and open it with on the list of other programs you've bought.
