DIY: Cold weather Photography

Thermal photography is generally known as infrared photography. Photographers often use infrared photography for that stunning and dreamlike images involved with infrared light. Most digital single reflex lens cameras might take infrared photos with the suitable accessories. These are on hand from most photography present stores.

Instructions

    1

Select the camera you need to use. There are two different choices along divergent paths. You might use either a dSLR or even commercial point-and-shoot camera.

    2

Use a new point-and-shoot camera for effective infrared shots. These cameras allow the user less control across features like shutter full speed and white balance.

    3

Shoot along with a dSLR for greater manipulate. The disadvantage is that dSLRs might have better IR filters inside camera increasing exposure a chance to 1-2 seconds.

    4

Apply a commercial lens filter or processed negative to lens. The processed negative work extremely well as a cheap solution to commercially available IR filter. Carefully tape the packaged negative to the camera in order that it covers the entire part of the lens.

    5

Attach the camera to tripod and set the tripod to shoot any subject. Set the shutter accelerate to 1-2 seconds based on ambient light levels together with release the shutter.

    6

Check this exposure and adjust shutter swiftness and aperture as found it necessary to correct the exposure.
