How to Grow Kodak Hie Film

Kodak Hie film can be described as special type of infrared picture. These films are made use of in infrared photography, which is true for most scenery, fine art and high-contrast monochrome photos. This specific film features a sensitivity to light wave lengths nearly 900 nanometers. Because it's infrared film, this involves special care and managing. It must be filled and developed in important darkness, due to it's high sensitivity to light source. In 2007 Kodak announced the discontinuation of the specific film.

Instructions

    1

Mix your developer and fixer on the first two trays each the manufacturer's specifications. Fill earphones tray with water.

    2

Turn from the lights in the darkroom. Be sure that the darkroom is throw black. Painted windows or contains can still let inside small traces of light which will ruin the film.

    3

Place the film in to the developer. Agitate the film to accelerate development time. Leave the film during the developer for only if the manufacturer's specifications status.

    4

Quickly eliminate the film and place it into your fixer. Again agitate your film to quicken expansion, and only for providing the manufacturer specifies.

    5

Transfer the film on the last tray. Thoroughly rise the film in order to all excess chemicals.

    6

Hang this film to dry, or put it into a film blower.
