Apple os's come standard with iPhoto. This application will allow you to organize, manipulate and edit your own photos using simple commands located inside the program. Blurring the background from the photo requires you to try the "Edge Blur" control. The level of blur which you want will depend on the needs you have. The command has lot of levels that will help you to customize the level of blur you are interested in use on the image.

Instructions

    Open iPhoto and also drag your photo to the main window to importance the image file. In case the image file is by now there, you do n't want to complete this part. Just find the photo from the preview pane of iPhoto.

    Select this photo and right-click this photo to open a drop-down menu. From that menu, select the "Edit" decision that fits your inclination. You can edit on full-screen mode or regular mode that the picture does not eat up the entire screen.

    Click the "Effects" menu in the bottoom of the screen. Choose the "Edge Blur" option from your list of options. That should blue the background degree. You can select a blur standard of 1 to 11 according to how much blur you would like.
