HOW TO MAKE: Polarizing Filter

In photographs --- both color plus black-and-white, film and digital --- a polarized filter pays to to filter out lgt that polarizes perpendicularly in the axis of the digital camera lens. Among other important things, this saturates the persona and darkens background elements by reduction of unwanted reflections. Unfortunately, factory-made filters is quite pricey. However, there are 100s of everyday objects that have polarized components which can repurposed for a totally usable --- and budget-friendly --- surveillance camera filter.
